Today we had work time to complete assignments from the week and work on the large project due MONDAY OCTOBER 3
Today we read "Hairball" by Margaret Atwood and prepared for our in-class persuasive essay. The topic is to persuade the reader that Kat's choices are justified/acceptable.
Today we finished with presentations. We looked at some of the resources on the website and had time to work on a project that is due OCT 3rd.
Today we performed our character interviews (well, those that were ready to present). Tomorrow all other interviews are due.
We went over the projects schedule for the semester, which can be found on the Assignments page.
We discussed plot and conflict, read "Skin" by Roald Dahl and began work on our time line activity.
Character chart for Alan from "The Chaser" is also due tomorrow.
Today we learned a method of brainstorming for Character Analysis Essays. We had time to work on interviews DUE MONDAY!!!!!

Using the story, and the graph below create a character chart that finds one example for each of the SLATES category. Cite the text evidence using MLA format, describe the context (what was happening around the time of the cited text, and what it says about that characters personality.
Today we learned about contractions in English and worked on our interview assignments.

Today worked on characterization and started work on our next assignment: an interview with a fictional character.
Today we had 20 mins of silent reading. I asked the question: what do you want to learn? A paragraph is due at the end of the day today.
Last, we had time to work on interviews. DUE MONDAY!
Today we played the unfortunately/fortunately game to talk about plot. We also had time to work on our interviews.
